Vaccine Availability at NCH
On 12/23/2020 NCH Healthcare System received 4,900 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and is in the process of vaccinating healthcare workers at highest risk of developing COVID-19. NCH is strictly following state and federal guidelines that call for healthcare personnel with direct patient contact, first responders and seniors 65+ to be among the first to have access to the COVID-19 vaccine. Currently, NCH has only been authorized to vaccinate healthcare personnel and first responders. NCH has not been authorized to vaccinate the community at this time.
At this time, local and out of state residents who are not healthcare workers cannot go to NCH to get vaccinated for COVID-19. Given initial limited supplies, NCH has allocated vaccine for health care personnel and first responders who are at high occupational risk for exposure to COVID-19. NCH will distribute vaccines based on guidance from public health authorities. As supplies increase in 2021, the program will expand to include broader populations.
DOH maintains a COVID-19 Call Center which you can access 24/7 by calling (866) 779-6121 or emailing COVID-19@flhealth.gov
